Šifrin celebrated in the slalom in Zemering and achieved her 80th victory in the World Cup

Belgrade [Serbia], December 30: American skier Mikaela Shiffrin won tonight in the slalom race of the World Cup in Zimmering, Austria.
Shifrin reached her 80th victory in the World Cup and 50th in slalom with a time of 1:43.26 minutes.
In the previous two days, she celebrated in two giant slalom races in Zemering. After the new triumph, she came close to compatriot Lindsay Vonn with only two victories, while the record holder for the number of victories in the World Cup is the legendary Swedish skier IngemarStenmark, who won 86 times.
The second place was taken by the American Paula Molzan, who was 0.29 seconds behind Shiffrin, and the third place was taken by the German skier Lena Deer, who was 0.34 seconds behind the winner.
Shifrin is the leader in the general standings of slalom with 425 points, the second is the Swiss Wendy Holdener with 370, while the third is the Slovakian Petra Vlhova with 280 points.
In the overall standings of the World Cup, Shifrin leads with 875 points, Vlhova climbed to second place with 506, and the Italian Sofia Godia fell to third with 470 points.
Female skiers will continue the competition in the World Cup on January 4 with a slalom at Zagreb's Sljemen.
