Feb 16, 2024

Abu Dhabi [UAE], February 16: The 3rd International Search and Rescue Conference & Exhibition (INSRC 2024), organised by the National Search and Rescue Center (NSRC), under the umbrella of the National Guard Command, concluded today at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center (ADNEC).
The event saw a large turnout of participants, including experts, decision-makers and guests from within and outside the country, individuals with an interest in search and rescue, university students, and other educators, who engaged in insightful sessions, interactive workshops, and discovered the latest equipment and solutions presented by exhibitors in this crucial field.
The four-day event from February 12 to 15, 2024, served as a dynamic platform for showcasing cutting-edge innovation such as artificial intelligence applications, addressing emerging trends, critical topics, and challenges, while also sharing best practices in search and rescue (SAR). With participation from specialised speakers at local, regional, and international levels, as well as a multitude of exhibiting companies, INSRC stoods as the foremost international search and rescue exhibition globally.
During the event, the NSRC has introduced a 'University and Student Engagement Zone'. This innovative Zone serves as a platform for students to showcase their graduation projects focusing on search and rescue initiatives. Several educational institutions underscored a collective commitment to preparing students for successful careers in emergency response.
The NSRC has taken comprehensive measures, including providing training, opportunities, and support, to enhance women participation in the field. Inspiring stories for first female Emirati Critical Care paramedic in the search and rescue sector were told, paving the way for more female representation in emergency response teams in the UAE. In a traditionally male-dominated search and rescue sector, female representation marks a significant milestone in the journey towards gender equality and diversity.
The INSRC 2024 witnessed the conclusion of a set of memorandums of understanding and cooperation between the National Search and Rescue Center (NSRC) and a group of partners and specialised institutions to develop horizons of cooperation and coordination in the field of providing search and rescue services and managing related operations.
