Amazon expands investment with 4 new operations sites in U.S. Alabama

San Francisco (US), November 11: Amazon.com, Inc. on Tuesday announced plans for three new operations facilities in the U.S. state of Alabama and celebrates the launch of a new fulfillment center that will support customers across the state.
"We are proud to continue our investment in Alabama with thousands of good jobs and new, state-of-the-art operations facilities," said Brian Huseman, vice president of public policy at Amazon.
Amazon has created more than 9,000 direct jobs statewide and invested more than 1 billion U.S. dollars in Alabama in infrastructure and compensation to employees, the announcement said.
The company plans to add more than 500 full-time jobs to its operation by the end of 2021 and have created more than 1,800 seasonal positions across the state in preparation for the holiday season, according to the announcement.
